1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Linkedivo (“Linkedivo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit or use Linkedivo websites, applications, communications, business profiles, enquiry tools, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Linkedivo operates a business discovery and profile platform. Businesses and other users that receive information through the Services may independently determine how they use that information. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy.

This Policy applies to visitors, account holders, business representatives, people who contact a listed business, and other individuals whose personal information we process. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or business practices that we do not control.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the Services, and information received from permitted third-party or public sources.

Account and identity information, such as your name, username, email address, phone number, password-related credentials, profile photo, language, and verification status.
Business information, such as business names, descriptions, categories, locations, contact details, ownership or representative information, licenses, operating details, logos, images, videos, products, services, offers, posts, and other profile content.
Communications and lead information, such as enquiry details, messages, support requests, reviews, reports, feedback, and the contact information you submit to a business.
Transaction and entitlement information, such as subscription tier, invoices, billing address, payment status, refunds, credits, and business-creation allowances. Full payment-card details may be processed directly by payment providers rather than stored by us.
Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, identifiers, pages viewed, clicks, referring URLs, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, cookies, logs, crash data, and security events.
Information from public or authorized sources, including public business records, websites, social channels, data providers, and information supplied by an authorized business representative.

3. How we use information

Provide, operate, personalize, maintain, and improve the Services.
Create and display accounts, business profiles, listings, reviews, offers, and other user-directed content.
Route enquiries and communications to the intended business or recipient.
Verify identity, authority, ownership, contact details, and eligibility; prevent impersonation and fraud.
Administer subscriptions, entitlements, limits, payments, invoices, credits, and customer support.
Rank, recommend, translate, format, moderate, and make content searchable or discoverable.
Measure performance, understand usage, test features, perform research, and develop new products, including automated or artificial-intelligence-assisted features.
Protect users, businesses, Linkedivo, and the public; detect spam, abuse, malicious automation, security incidents, prohibited content, and violations of our Terms.
Send transactional notices, service updates, security alerts, and, where permitted, marketing communications.
Comply with law, enforce agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and respond to lawful requests.

4. Consent and your choices

We seek meaningful consent where required. By providing information or using a feature after receiving appropriate notice, you consent to the identified collection, use, and disclosure. Some processing is necessary to provide a requested service, protect the Services, comply with law, or pursue a reasonable and legitimate business purpose permitted by law.

You may withdraw consent for optional processing, change communication preferences, or decline non-essential cookies where controls are available. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed and may make certain features unavailable.

5. Public profiles and content

Business profiles, reviews, posts, offers, photos, videos, usernames, and other content designated as public can be viewed, copied, indexed, cached, embedded, shared, or redistributed by search engines, other users, and third parties. Removing content from Linkedivo may not remove copies held elsewhere.

Do not publish personal information, confidential information, or third-party information unless you have the authority and a lawful basis to do so.

6. Enquiries and business recipients

When you send an enquiry, request, booking interest, or similar communication to a business, we disclose the submitted details to that business and its authorized members. The business becomes responsible for its own subsequent use, storage, response, and deletion of that information.

Linkedivo may retain a copy to deliver the communication, prevent abuse, maintain records, resolve disputes, provide dashboards, and improve the Services. We do not guarantee that a business will respond, keep information confidential, or use it only in a particular way.

7. When we disclose information

To the business, user, or other recipient you choose to contact or interact with.
To vendors and service providers that support hosting, databases, authentication, security, analytics, email, customer support, payments, storage, search, moderation, and other operations, subject to appropriate contractual controls.
To affiliates, professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and financing partners where reasonably necessary.
To authorities, courts, regulators, or other parties when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, property, users, the public, or the integrity of the Services.
In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, insolvency, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable safeguards.
With your direction or consent, or in aggregated or de-identified form that is not reasonably capable of identifying you.

We do not sell personal information for money in the ordinary meaning of “sell.” We may use service providers and advertising or analytics technologies as described in this Policy and applicable consent controls.

8. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect accounts, measure traffic, understand performance, and improve or market the Services.

Where required, non-essential technologies are used only with consent. Browser settings and available consent controls can limit some technologies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Services from working.

9. Automated processing and AI

We may use automated systems to detect abuse, prioritize or recommend content, assist moderation, generate summaries or translations, improve search, and support business tools. Automated output may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before reliance or publication.

We may use content and usage information to evaluate and improve algorithms and features, subject to this Policy, applicable law, contractual restrictions, and available controls. We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legally significant effects unless permitted by law and accompanied by required safeguards.

10. International and cross-border processing

Linkedivo and its providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions. Information processed outside your province or country may be subject to local laws and lawful access by foreign authorities.

Where required, we use contractual, organizational, and technical measures designed to protect information transferred across borders.

11. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining business and security records, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

Retention periods vary by information type, sensitivity, account status, legal requirements, and technical constraints. Information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, archives, or records that must be preserved. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information indefinitely where it no longer reasonably identifies an individual.

12. Security and no absolute guarantee

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in a manner appropriate to its sensitivity. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, monitoring, logging, backups, rate limits, abuse detection, vendor controls, and incident-response procedures.

No website, network, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Although we work to protect information and continuously improve our safeguards, we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security or that unauthorized access, hacking, malware, human error, service failure, or another incident will never occur. To the extent permitted by law, you provide information and use the Services with this inherent risk.

If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will investigate and provide legally required notices to affected individuals and regulators as soon as feasible. Users are responsible for maintaining strong credentials, protecting devices, and promptly reporting suspected account compromise.

13. Access, correction, deletion, and other rights

Subject to applicable law and valid exceptions, you may request access to personal information under our control, ask how it has been used or disclosed, request correction, withdraw consent, challenge our compliance, or request deletion of information that we are not required to retain.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. We may decline or limit a request where permitted, including to protect another person, preserve legal privilege, comply with retention duties, prevent fraud, or avoid disclosing confidential commercial information. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the basis where required.

You may also update certain information through account settings. Requests concerning information already delivered to a business should be directed to that business as well.

14. Children and minors

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and account-based or commercial business features are intended for people who can lawfully enter into a binding agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without legally valid authorization. If you believe a child provided information improperly, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

15. Third-party services

The Services may contain links, embeds, integrations, maps, videos, payment tools, social features, or content operated by third parties. Those third parties may collect information under their own policies. Linkedivo does not control and is not responsible for their privacy, security, content, or practices.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Services, technology, or law changes. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. If a change is material or notice is legally required, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by another reasonable method. Changes apply prospectively from their effective date unless law requires otherwise.

17. Contact and privacy complaints

Questions, privacy requests, or complaints may be sent to our Privacy Officer at legal@linkedivo.com. Please include enough detail for us to understand the request, but do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government identification, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

We will investigate privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period. You may also have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another applicable privacy regulator.
