How to use it
- Open Files and confirm the business and editing language.
- Choose the add action or edit an existing item.
- Complete the content and media fields described below.
- Save as Draft while preparing the item; select Published when the publication requirements are met.
- Save and review the item on the public business page when the business is publicly accessible.
Fields and behaviour
Each item contains a title, short description and one PDF. Customers need a description that explains what the document contains.
PDF files must be valid PDFs of at most 10 MB. A business can currently store up to ten file items.
Every field explained
- File Title
- Write a specific public title that identifies the subject. Avoid a title consisting only of a promotion code or internal label.
- Short Description
- Summarize what the customer gets and who it is for. This text is used on cards and as a description in discovery.
- Status
- Keep Draft while preparing content. Published requests publication and still requires all server validation rules to pass.
Before you continue
Publishing requires an English title, English short description, and a PDF file. Deleting removes the item and its uploaded media permanently.
Worked example
Example: upload a restaurant menu with a title identifying the menu and a short description stating what it contains. Open the PDF after uploading to check legibility and the correct version. Replacing the PDF and changing the localized title are separate edits.
When publication is blocked
Complete the English title and short description before publishing.
Upload a PDF before publishing.
If the error names English content, switch the workspace editing language to English and complete those fields. Re-saving the current translation alone will not satisfy that requirement.
