Fields and behaviour

Name, tagline and descriptions are localized. Legal name, business type and the introduction video URL apply across languages.

Short descriptions accept 20–320 characters when provided; full descriptions accept 50–10,000. The tagline limit is 160.

Logo files may be up to 5 MB; covers up to 10 MB. JPG, PNG and WebP are supported.

Profile field reference

Business Username
This value applies to all languages. Username changes require a separate protected workflow.
Business Type
This organization type applies to all languages.
Introduction Video URL
Add a YouTube, Vimeo, MP4, WebM, or OGG link. It appears in the public Overview.
Business Logo
Use a clear square image for the best result.
Cover Image
Use a wide, high-quality image that represents your business.

Before you continue

The username uses a protected workflow; it is not a normal profile text field. Completing another language does not replace the required default-language profile.

Worked example

Example: a repair workshop uses its trading name as the business name, “Repairs and maintenance in Toronto” as a tagline, a short description identifying its customers and services, and a full description explaining its work and how to request an appointment. The legal registered name belongs in Legal Business Name, not in every translated description.
